New armoured cables for zones label according to CPR

LEADING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY

The introduction of the standard for construction products (CPR) made mandatory the usage of high-security cables in ATEX areas, requiring at least a certification of Cca-s1b-d1-a1 on cables.

What do ATEX areas mean?

ATEX means explosive atmosphere: when the mixture of flammable gases, vapours, fog, or powder with the air (in atmospheric conditions) in which if there was an ignition, there would be chained combustion. This explosion is produced by a reaction of exothermic combustion that leads to an immediate flame spreading within the mixture.

The standard ITC-BT 29 for electronics on low voltage gathers the essential norms for industries that face the risk of fire or explosions due to flammable substances. This standard applies to petrochemical industries, fuel stations, garages, car workshops, storage grain areas, industries that produce powder, etc.

Our products, guaranteed safety

We have designed armoured cables with galvanized steel rated as Cca-s1b,d1,a1. These are the optimal solution to installations in places with a high risk of fire and explosion (ATEX areas).

These areas usually produce or manage hydrocarbons, which can also degrade the surface of the cable, being convenient for the additional protection to oils and other chemicals.

Our products for ATEX areas not only fulfill CPR exigences, but they also meet the test collected by the standard UIX 895 OR aiming to satisfy the demand in the sector.
